Itasca, Illinois (January 2004): Hill Engineering, Villa Park, IL, a member of the Formtek Group of companies announced the development of four standard hydraulic press systems and the expansion of their Danville, Kentucky plant.
The new press systems will compliment the existing custom high speed hydraulic system for the rollforming Industry. The standard presses will come in four tonnage ranges (7, 12, 20 and 30 tons) and be available in stroke ranges from 1/2” to 3”.
In addition to the new hydraulic press system, Hill Engineering has also added new equipment and more than doubled the size of their tool and die shop in Danville, Kentucky.
The 8,000 square foot addition made room for:
• A Wire EDM Machine
• A High Speed CNC Milling Machine
• A Radial Drill Press
• A monorail system
• Additional worktables and die racks
Hill Tool and Die in Danville repairs and sharpens dies, makes new dies, produces automatic cutoff systems and the new high-speed hydraulic press systems.
Allen Reczek, vice president and general manager of Hill Engineering, said that the addition to the Danville plant was necessary in continuing to maintain tooling for the company’s main focus, the Dana Victor-Reinz Plant in Danville.
“Our strong relationship with Dana has been great not only for both companies but for the Danville area also,” Reczek said. “With the additional space and equipment, we will also be in a better position to service other Danville area manufacturing companies.”
