Itasca, Illinois (May 2004): The Formtek Group of companies which includes Cooper-
Weymouth, Peterson (CWP), B&K, Dahlstrom, Engel, FMI, Hill Engineering, Iowa
Precision Industries, Iowa Rebuilders, Lockformer, Rowe, and Yoder announces Elgin
Fabrication Machinery, a new division of FMI.

Elgin is importing Press Brakes and Shears from Formtek’s partner company in China.
The machinery arrives without electrics and controls which will be installed at the FMI
facility in South Elgin, Illinois by Axon Electric, a Mestek Company.

The ELGIN Press Brakes and Shears will be competitively priced and designed for the
industrial market which requires close tolerances and automatic controls to produce
repeatable precision parts. The exclusive distribution agreement includes the United
States, Mexico, Central and South America.

“We believe the Elgin line of Press Brakes and Shears will become the value leader in
this market due to the combination of our partner’s long history of producing quality
equipment and the added value that can be provided in the controls that are designed and
installed at our facility in South Elgin,” said Mike McGuire, FMI National Sales
Manager. “The addition of Elgin Fabrication Machinery is another example of the
Formtek Group of companies continuing efforts to be the single source supplier of
equipment and solutions to the fabrication market.”

A full service department will work from South Elgin offering training, maintenance and
spare parts to back up the machinery and assist the users of this equipment.
