Itasca, Illinois (10/1/2004): The Formtek Group of companies which includes Cooper-Weymouth, Peterson (CWP), B&K, Dahlstrom, Engel, FMI, Hill Engineering, Iowa Precision Industries, Lockformer, Rowe, and Yoder announced facility plans for Engel.

Recognizing the need for more manufacturing and office space, Formtek, the parent company of Engel Industries, has given the approval for plans to relocate Engel’s manufacturing and offices to a larger facility.

The headquarters of Engel Industries has been located at 8122 Reilly in the heart of South St. Louis, Missouri since the 50’s. Currently, Engel is limited to 42,400 square ft. of space with little or no room to expand. A move to a larger facility will improve manufacturing capabilities and accommodate more office space. The search is underway for a modern state of the art facility with convenient access to interstates and within reasonable proximity to the existing facility and having these important specifications and requirements:

Manufacturing:
60,000 square ft. minimum; expandable to 150,000 square ft. within 2 year time-frame
20’ high ceilings – minimum
Multiple bays 40’ to 45’ in width
20 - 30 ton crane capacity
Energy efficient lighting with a desire for some natural lighting
Reinforced concrete floors
Fork truck access in and out of building at floor level
Loading/unloading docks for smaller shipments and receivables
Safe parking for up to 100 employees

Offices:
6,500 square ft. minimum wired/networked for data/voice and T1 internet access
Conference Room/Lunch Room/Training Facility
Private Offices and up to 40 engineering and work stations computer capability
